Embodied Coaching & Deep Listening

One-on-one embodied coaching for women in creative emergence, transition, and change

Embodied coaching supports women in creative emergence, transition, and change through deep listening, somatic awareness, and relational presence.

There comes a point — often later in life — when something begins to stir again.

A desire to speak more truthfully.
To create, lead, or contribute in a way that feels aligned.
To stop overriding yourself and start listening more closely to what is already present.

Alongside this call, familiar patterns may arise — hesitation, self-doubt, perfectionism, or anxiety — as your nervous system responds to past experiences of being unheard, dismissed, or misunderstood.

Embodied coaching offers a way of meeting these moments with care rather than correction.

embodied coaching through deep listening

What is embodied coaching?

Embodied coaching works with the whole system — thoughts, sensations, emotions, timing, and lived experience. We slow the pace and listen carefully, allowing clarity and direction to emerge through attunement and safety.

Instead of pushing for answers or productivity, we slow down and listen:

  • to bodily signals

  • to emotional cues

  • to patterns of energy and resistance

  • to what wants to emerge in its own time

This approach recognises that clarity, confidence, and direction arise most sustainably when we feel safe, seen, and attuned—not when we are rushed, fixed, or corrected.

Who embodied coaching is for

My embodied coaching practice is especially supportive for women who:

  • are navigating a creative, professional, or life transition

  • feel called to express something meaningful, but aren’t sure how or when

  • experience cycles of anxiety, overwhelm, or perfectionism

  • sense that old strategies no longer fit who they are now

  • want support that honours depth, sensitivity, and lived experience

Many of the women I work with are capable, thoughtful, and accomplished. They are ready for a more attuned way of listening and moving forward.

What working together through embodied coaching looks like

In our sessions, you are met with presence and care. Through attentive conversation, reflective dialogue, and gentle embodied practices, we listen together to what is already unfolding. Through attentive conversation, reflective dialogue, and gentle embodied practices, we listen together to what is already unfolding. Direction often emerges organically — not as a rigid plan, but as a felt sense of next steps that are realistic and aligned.

Our work may include:

  • deep listening and reflective inquiry

  • somatic and mindfulness-based practices

  • working with cycles, timing, and energy rather than linear pressure

  • practical support for translating insight into sustainable action

Over time, embodied coaching can support:

  • greater self-trust and clarity

  • a softer relationship with anxiety and self-criticism

  • renewed connection to creativity and intuition

  • forward movement that feels grounded rather than forced

The foundations of my embodied coaching approach

My work draws on over 15 years of experience at the intersection of mental health, wellbeing, creativity, and facilitation. At its core is a way of Embodied listening that strengthens agency rather than directing change.

This includes influences from mental health–informed coaching and motivational interviewing, an evidence-based, collaborative approach that treats listening as the primary catalyst for transformation. Rather than advising or fixing, this way of working supports people in articulating their own values, motivations, and readiness for change — reinforcing autonomy, consent, and self-trust.

Alongside this, my approach is shaped by embodied and somatic practices such as meditation, movement, Qigong, and breath awareness, as well as the Creative Cycle & Five Elements framework, which support cyclical rather than linear growth. These are held within a broader practice of embodied listening — informed by ecological and more-than-human perspectives — where pacing, presence, and relationship matter as much as insight.

This creates a container that is psychologically safe, ethically grounded, and responsive to you as a whole person — not a problem to be solved.

A note on listening

At the heart of my work is a simple but often radical idea:
listening itself is transformative when done with care, presence, and respect.
